How our unique Slip Guard™ System Works?

Treatment Process

It creates an “Invisible Tread” on floors, which increases the co-efficient of friction and reduces the problem of dangerous when wet surfaces. The treatment does not affect most of the original appearance of the tiles/ floors so the result cannot be seen but it can certainly be felt. There is no cure time as with coatings.

All natural stones including concrete contains small amount of silica. Slip ® Guard Anti Slip Floor Treatment is carefully formulated to dissolve a controlled amount of the silica so as to create thousands of minute, shallow

indentations in the surface. Because the profile sits BELOW the level of the surface, it does not affect the cleaning process as with a profile that stands ABOVE the surface such as an anti-slip paint coating. Surface is wet with water, these shallow indentations fill. When a pedestrian walks across the wet surface and their shoe starts to slide, the water is squeezed out of the indentations turning them into thousands of suction cups that stop the shoe from slipping. The wetter the floor the more effective the slip resistance. All that is required of the property owner is good housekeeping to keep the floor free of soil accumulation and grease.
